Lionsgate has released a trailer for its upcoming boxing drama Uppercut, starring Ving Rhames and Louis Grossman.
The film is described as the exciting story of Toni, “a determined female boxer who attempts to break down barriers and redefine what it means to be a woman in today’s world.
The two mismatched characters form an unlikely alliance when tough former boxing champ Elliot (Rhames) accepts the challenge of training Tony (Grossman).
“Their sparring and Elliott’s keen insight showed this tough young fighter that real strength comes from overcoming challenges when life knocks you in the face.”
The writer and director of this film is Thorsten Reutherlooks like a good sports drama worth watching.
The film is set to be released in theaters, digital and on-demand on February 28.
