This list has it all.
Whether we once loved them or they never had a chance, they can still be on a worst-of list.

Our current team, including Carissa Pavlica, Jack Ori, Jasmine Blu, Joshua Pleming, Laura Nowak, Lisa Babick, Paul Dailly, and Whitney Evans, shared their very crucial two cents to compile the following for true TV fanatics List!
Defendant (Fox)

The second season of The Accused has more hits than misses, which is shocking and disappointing.
Most cases don’t grab our attention, and some are just too ridiculous (sex robots, anyone?).
“The Accused” has a star-studded cast with countless talented guest stars, but a woeful lack of writing.
By comparison, the first season of “The Accused” had more hits than non-views, often sparking thoughtful conversations days after the series aired. We’re lucky to have two players who hit the mark this season as well.
While we don’t think the show’s purpose has changed, we can’t help but notice that it feels like a completely different show than season one. As an anthology, this simply shouldn’t happen.
At this point, we won’t be so eager to welcome season three, which is a real shame.

bear (gourd)

While it may have been unpopular, Season 3 of Bears was lukewarm at best, with few moments worth savoring in a pretentious, over-hyped season.
The art of cameos and guest stars becomes a lost form in Bear’s hands, as they rely too heavily on dazzling audiences through the return (or random introduction) of recognizable faces.
Kami’s fall continues as he pushes himself and those around him to the absolute limit, transferring the psychological warfare unleashed on him during training onto his surroundings, resulting in an almost miserable kitchen and causing many to re-evaluate their positions.
The standout episodes focus on characters who are almost completely removed from the restaurant and Cami’s self-abuse, which doesn’t bode well for the future of this “comedy.”
The season ended with an incomplete and bleak ending that frankly left a bad taste in our mouths and only added to our annoyance as the show is still positioning itself as a comedy and seems to be just trying to win over Awards that no other great television series can win. Very uncool!

Cruel Intentions (Prime Video)

Prime Video’s desire to remaster popular 1990s movies into contemporary TV shows must be a thing of the past, because these reboots were complete disasters.
After the lack of success of I Know What You Did Last Summer, you might think they’d have learned their lesson and made Cruel Intentions somewhat watchable.
Sadly, Cruel Intentions doesn’t improve upon the previous failed reboot. The plot is thin and there’s not much to say.
The cast, led by Sarah Catherine Hook, is given some boring plot points and the show comes and goes without much fanfare.
We’d be surprised if it got renewed on Prime Video, which was delighted by its cancellation, but stranger things have happened.

Doctor Odyssey (ABC)

Doctor Odyssey might be one of the most confusing TV shows of 2024 — and not in a good way.
On the surface, it promises a mind-bending journey through a surreal narrative, but what viewers actually get is a confusing psychedelic trip in which even the characters seem unsure of what’s real. .
It’s an experience that leaves you frustrated rather than intrigued, with each twist feeling less like a revelation and more like a screenwriter’s shrug.
The show’s attempts at telling a sharp story are epitomized by its convoluted trio subplot, but it’s neither provocative nor makes any sense.
Instead, it feels shoehorned in, as if the creators hoped adding something provocative would distract from the characters, who are, frankly, insufferable.
They’re so conceited that you actively work against them, making it nearly impossible to connect with the story or even care about where it’s going.
One lingering question is whether Doctor Odyssey is trying to say something profound about death and the collective trauma caused by COVID-19.

If so, then the message is buried so deeply beneath layers of pretentious dialogue and ridiculous plot that it’s difficult to unearth it. Is this a comment on sadness? About existential uncertainty? Or is it just a confusing script, mistaken for obscurity? At this point, it’s hard to say.
What’s clear is that Doctor Odyssey struggles to define itself.
It flirts with themes of death and the human condition, but lacks the narrative clarity or emotional resonance to make these ideas stick.
Instead, it feels like a film more interested in being edgy than actually telling a story worth watching. Ultimately, viewers are left with a show as pretentious as its characters and as confusing as its premise—a journey that’s better skipped than endured.

La Brea(NBC)

“La Brea” was hit by a writers’ and actors’ strike, and only six episodes of its third and final season aired.
This proved to be a disaster as no one felt the story was over, especially lead actress Natalie Zia (Eve), who only appeared in the series finale, La Brea Season 3 Episode 6 , barely appearing on screen with her family.
While Izzy finally has a storyline, her post-breakup relationship with Leila almost feels like an afterthought.
For a show that dazzled us by imagining how we would survive if we could go back in time, the last few episodes were a real drag. To be honest, it was technically always a dud, but we accepted it because of the storytelling and character development.
Once these elements are gone, we have nothing, and true fans will only be disappointed as the series draws to a close.

Power Book II: Ghost (Starz)

It’s painful to admit, because of all the series in the Power Universe, Ghost has always stood out as the most interesting and successful.
But Power Book II: Ghosts Season 4, the first full-length Power spinoff, had an incredibly sad ending. Its problems are an unengaging storyline, not enough focus on important characters, and a quick rush to the finish line that leaves a lot to be desired.
Tariq’s story starts off strong as he tries to break away from his father’s influence and build his own legacy while balancing the struggles of being a college student.
But in the process, it loses sight of that, and the vast cast of characters takes the focus away from one of the most interesting characters in the universe: Tariq St. Patrick.

The series accomplished the impossible by making Tarik a sympathetic and somewhat relatable character, but the final season was so rushed and uninteresting that you almost forgot all the reasons we started rooting for Tarik in the first place.
Michael Ealy is great as rookie detective Don Carter, but the focus on him and his team means we spend a lot of time with Brayden and Davis waiting. Character-wise, we’ve grown to know and love their stories over the years.
That’s not entirely a bad thing, as there are still some fun elements and a few surprises that feel like quintessential powers. But overall, this is the worst season of the series, and it’s just too bad to see a once-so-addictive series end its run on such a low note.

Sunny – Apple TV+

The most ironic part about the dark comedy series It’s Always Sunny is that it would benefit from a scene or two of sunshine — and no, I don’t mean the weather.
It’s Always Sunny’s first season is off to a strong start, with Rashida Jones’ comedic talents worthy of bragging. However, despite the show’s best efforts to balance a dark tone with camp and absurdist humor, the show just couldn’t hold its own.
The first half of “It’s Always Sunny” season 1 left viewers with a lot of questions about the plot to keep them engaged. Unfortunately, the investment didn’t pay off much.
After the first few episodes in which Rasheeda’s Susie becomes an alcoholic over the deaths of her husband and son, the protagonist finally breaks free to figure out the mystery surrounding her family’s unlikely demise.
Sadly, this is where most of the fun of the series becomes, but it quickly becomes stale. The show is adapted from Irish writer Colin O’Sullivan’s 2018 novel “The Dark Manual,” and has plenty of material to work with.
Ultimately, the show took too many chances with the plot that didn’t pay off, and viewers lost interest in this dark and brooding comedy.
While Rashida Jones is a household name, Sunny will likely be forgotten in the show’s halls at the beginning and end of the season. But unfortunately, some of us will never get over the sight of robot sex.

Yellowstone National Park (Peacock)

Sadly, Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, said to be the final season, is not worth the two-year wait.
While Kevin Costner’s John Dutton had to be written out in some way, his death was an afterthought and much of each episode revolved around unnecessary flashbacks or, worse, Travi The long takes of Si (Taylor Sheridan) serve no real purpose other than to annoy the audience.
Hell, Paramount Network doesn’t even bother to release press photos to accompany its weekly coverage. If they can’t be bothered to promote the series, then why should we bother watching it?
We waited five seasons for Beth Dutton to completely destroy her brother Jamie, but she somehow suppressed her rage until the end of John’s funeral, the season finale.
Jamie deserves a punishment greater than death for what he did to her. Earlier in the season, she promised revenge on his child, and while we never expected her to harm an innocent boy, it was enough to see Jamie in pain when his son was taken away from him.
Sure, they fight to the death in a shockingly short scene, but it’s not enough to satisfy our thirst for justice for the death of her first child, the deprivation of Beth’s motherhood, and the cowardly murders he’s committed so many times before . This is not enough.
The final episode of Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 14 has wrapped things up nicely, but by then, it will be too little, too late to turn this train wreck around. Send to the train station!
