Warner Music Korea has launched a new label called MPLIFY, which it says is dedicated to supporting Korean artists with international connections.
By focusing on English-language music, MPLIFY says it aims to help these artists “engage with global audiences and succeed in the international music industry.”
MPLIFY is led by Samuel Ku, executive producer of Warner Music Korea.
WMG, a Korean-American music producer, songwriter and executive with more than 15 years of industry experience, said Ku, who has worked with numerous artists across multiple genres, is “poised to make a significant impact on the global music landscape.”
The first artist to join the label is Korean-Australian singer-songwriter Olivia Marsh, whose debut single will be available on all major DSPs from October.
Warner said the new label “represents a new approach to music production and artist management, giving musicians the creative freedom to express their own unique voices while reaching a global audience.”
“It aims to build a global fan base and support artists navigating the complexities of the international music landscape,” it added.
Olivia Marsh said: “I am delighted to have signed on with MPLIFY and to be working with such an enthusiastic, passionate and innovative team.”
Marsh added: “I’m grateful for their support and kindness, and I’m excited to begin my journey with them. I can’t wait to share my music with everyone.
