San Antonio Film Festival returns July 21-26 for six days of indie films
SAN ANTONIO – Filmmakers and movie fans from around the world will gather in the Alamo City later this month as the San Antonio Film Festival returns for its annual celebration of independent cinema.
The 2026 San Antonio Film Festival will run July 21-26.
The nonprofit festival aims to provide an accessible and inclusive platform for cinema artists while showcasing films from across the United States and around the world.
This year’s lineup will also feature Rising Waters: When Warnings Went Silent, an investigative documentary produced by CBS Austin, News 4 San Antonio and Fox SA. The film examines the devastating July 2025 Texas floods that claimed more than 130 lives, exploring the leadership failures and warning system breakdowns that may have contributed to the tragedy. It also shares the emotional stories of families still searching for answers.
SAFILM’s mission is to promote cinematic culture for diverse audiences while nurturing filmmakers of all ages through education, exposure and community engagement.
