According to Hollywood insiders Jeff SneedCEO of Warner Bros. David Zaslav want to James GunnIn order to better compete with Marvel Studios, the DCU version of Batman should be brought to the big screen sooner rather than later.
The report explains that one idea that has been considered is batman Star Rob Pattinson Becoming the DCU version of the Dark Knight after the sequel was released.
This seems ridiculous to me because Pattinson’s Batman clearly doesn’t fit into the DC universe that James Gunn is building. It’s going to have a very different vibe than what we’ve seen batman and what we see Penguin series.
While this is just a rumor, and it’s probably something that’s only being discussed now… why is this conversation even happening behind the scenes?
Gunn has announced Batman: The Brave and the Bold movies and Andy Muschietti The film will direct the new DCU version of Batman.
However, if Zaslav is so worried about getting Batman to the big screen sooner rather than later, maybe there are some behind-the-scenes issues at play bravery and boldness. Gunn and Peter Safran already have plans for The Batman, so if these conversations are happening, leadership will obviously question those plans.
However, Gunn then made the comment that the now-abandoned TV series set in Arkham Asylum would be part of the DCU, confusing everyone since it was supposed to take place in the same setting as The Batman world.
When asked for further clarification, Gunn said: “Yes. We love Matt as a director and producer, so he will be crafting stories within his Batman universe and the DCU.
The project was inspired by Grant MorrisonThe popular Batman comic focuses on Bruce Wayne’s relationship with his biological son, Damian Wayne. Batman: The Brave and the Bold It is said to be one of Gunn and Safran’s favorite projects.
Speaking previously about the project, Gunn said: “So this is introducing Bruce Wayne, the DCU Batman, but also introducing our favorite Robin, Damian Wayne, who is a little son of a bitch, an assassin. Murderer, he takes him away by accident, and it’s a very strange father-son story about the two of them.
I don’t know what to make of it all. But if what Snead is saying is true, there’s something strange going on behind the scenes, something that Warner Bros. and DC Studios are still trying to figure out.
