When Calls the Heart takes notes and continues to weave character-rich stories, romance, and modern suspense into this season.
When Calls the Heart Season 12 Episode 3 spoilers reveal a mystery surrounding an old coin as Rosemary and Elizabeth pry into the secret Lee has been hiding. This will be a treat for Rosemary fans.
Elsewhere, Earl Wyatt returns to town and piques Ellie’s interest, and she soon finds herself caught up in a love triangle.
On top of that, Lucas is seeing Edie Martell again, so there’s a lot of hope for National Park and his love life.
Overall, this looks to be another promising episode.
Rosemary and Bill team up again to solve the mystery of Hope Valley’s coins
Hope Valley is filled with an air of mystery. The series includes recurring characters, such as Ned finding a double-headed eagle coin.
The coin fascinates everyone to the point that Bill learns it is part of an unsolved train robbery. The coin is beautiful and probably valuable, so Bill wants Rosemary’s help in solving another case.
This one can get confusing. Bill and Rosemary have such a fun, natural connection because they share a common investigative instinct, and nothing can stop Rosemary from gathering the truth.
Since Ned wouldn’t steal it, where did the coin come from?
However, he is excited about it, so they should interview him first to find out what he knows about the coin. We’re excited to see Ned and Florence being used more.
Rosemary suspects Lee has a secret
Since Lee’s return he has been acting strange and mysterious, and Rosemary hates keeping secrets from her.
He is secretly meeting with Mike, and these people seem to be up to something nefarious.
Are they also trying to solve the mystery of the coin, or is Lee planning something special for Rosemary? He may be planning to do something to mark his return.
However, Lee is the mayor, and if a robbery occurs, he will want to stop it. It would be interesting if he and Mike were trying to stop this, and Rosemary and Bill were doing the same.
Lee must work extra hard to keep it a surprise as Rosemary and Elizabeth begin stalking him and spying on him.
Judging by the weekly promo footage, and judging by the note he sent to Elizabeth, it looks like Nathan is also involved. Rosemary sounds like she’s on an old-fashioned scavenger hunt following cryptic clues.
Is this a game, or does Lee have something up his sleeve?
Even though Rosemary is an investigative reporter, she doesn’t fit well into the scenery. She’s hilarious and pulls no punches when she wants answers.
Lucas and Edie Martell meet again and hope to seal a deal
New spoiler photos hint at Edie Martell (Miranda McDougal) and Lucas (Chris McNally) meeting again.
They should negotiate a fair share of the land so Lucas can create his national park and the ranchers have ample pasture.
I hope Edwin doesn’t attend this meeting because I think they would have negotiated better terms without him, as I suspect both Edie and Lucas have a passion for helping others.
We don’t know much, but past media has hinted that Edie and Lucas might become unlikely friends and then lovers.
At least she seemed smart and shared his interests.
Earl Wyatt returns and piques Ellie’s interest
When Calls the Heart loves to bring back old characters, and this time, Earl Wyatt is back.
He hasn’t been seen on screen since When Calls the Heart season 4, and as the sneak peek shows, he used to tease Opal when they were younger.
He tried to apologize and swear he had changed. It’s hard to tell in that little scene, but Ellie seems smitten and eager for her friend to introduce the two of them.
Interestingly, once Ellie got older, she found herself in a love triangle because her father had only recently been involved in one.
Oliver seemed to like her. He was a little shy, but shot her some smoldering glances.
We still don’t know Oliver’s story, so he might have a secret that could change things. Still, they look carefree and sweet, and we can’t get enough of the older Earl Wyatt. But Ellie seemed interested.
Henry’s new business shows his evolution
We’ve already discussed Henry Gawain’s progression throughout the series. There are many factors that contribute to this, not the least of which is his regret over the mines.
He wants to show that he has changed, and this is most evident when he interacts with the community, especially the children.
He has a lot of wisdom to share with others, and the series does a great job of highlighting what can be learned outside of the classroom.
Henry is very proud of some of the children and we are delighted to see him and Joseph working together to instill values and business skills in the younger generation. This is a great way for multiple generations to interact.
Over to you, Hatice. What do you hope happens in All That Glitters? Are you excited for another mystery? Are you looking forward to seeing Earl Wyatt again?
