in the following years Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Following the release, Lucasfilm announced several Star Wars Projects with several different filmmakers failed to progress.
The only film that was successfully put into production was Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s The Mandalorian and Grogu The movie is currently being filmed. But there are many other projects that haven’t made it this far.
There are currently several Star Wars Movies in production overlap with characters or timelines. The Hollywood Reporter noted in a recent report that while the films are not related, “whichever one comes out first could have a domino effect that affects those that follow.”
then it states James Mangoldof Dawn of the Jedi The film takes us back to the Dawn of the Jedi, 25,000 years before the events of the original trilogy, and focuses on the birth of the Force, which is exceptional.
It also says that some of the directors working on these projects at Lucasfilm know what others are doing, but there are also directors who don’t know what others are doing. So, there seems to be some lack of communication.
A studio insider explained: “It’s a different way of developing. There’s so much parallel work going on.
As we all know, george lucasThe Star Wars movies are considered the “Old Testament” of the franchise, and as the report noted, “Nothing is more codified or canonical in modern times than these three films.”
A Lucasfilm source said of this quote: “You’re asked to create a new Testament, but no one can agree on anything and there’s a lot of speculation about the meaning.”
Another source familiar with the process was more business-minded, noting, “Star Wars It’s a company based on nostalgia, and they have run out of ways to create nostalgia.
Yes, Lucasfilm seems to be a mess and the reason they can’t make any progress is because no one can agree on anything! These guys just need to get their shit together and figure out a plan to move forward with the movie side of things.
Seriously, there’s no reason why Lucasfilm can’t release great movies Star Wars past few years. They just put the wrong people in charge of things.
Another insider added: “Making a standalone movie or continuing the Skywalker saga in any form is a fundamental question the company faces as it tries to move forward.”
As a long time fan Star Warsit’s not hard for me to see a clear path to where Lucasfilm can take the franchise, and I’m sure many fans have their own ideas about where they’d like to see it go. However, Lucasfilm’s vision is all over the place and they can’t seem to figure it out or agree on how to execute it.
