Sabrina Carpenter shows no signs of losing her taste, with “Taste” continuing to delight fans in its Official UK Singles Chart week, likely to stay at No. 1 for a sixth week in a row.

2024 is definitely this Sabrina Carpenter’s year on the UK charts. With “Taste” firmly on top, Carpenter has spent a total of 17 weeks at No. 1 this year alone, thanks to previous hits like “Espresso” (which spent seven weeks at the top) and ” Please Please Please” (which held the title for five weeks).

But the game isn’t over yet – Chappelle Rowan’s “Good Luck, Baby!” has quickly climbed the charts and is currently in second place, just 2,300 chart units behind.

But wait, there’s more – The Weeknd’s latest collaboration with Playboi Carti is also generating buzz. Their single “Timeless” had a explosive debut, peaking at number three, and targeting a spot in the upper echelons. It’s a good start for this new version and it wouldn’t be surprising to see chart movement next week.

As mentioned, other hits from “Sabrina” remain popular. “Espresso” proved its strength, holding steady at No. 4, while “Please Please Please” held on at No. 6, showing that she’s doing well this year. Carpenter’s chart dominance is far from over, but with stiff competition from Roan and The Weeknd, we’ll see if she can keep the momentum going.

Elsewhere on the charts, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are on the rise, with their duet “Die With a Smile” climbing from No. 6 to No. 4. “It has broken the rankings and entered the top ten for the first time, jumping from 12th to 10th place.

Teddy Swims is on the verge of cracking the top ten for the first time, while The Door climbs to No. 11, just one spot away from reaching the coveted top flight. Coldplay are also making moves – “feelslikeimfallinginlove” climbs 13 spots to No.18, thanks in part to their upcoming UK tour.

Stay tuned to see what happens on the Official UK Singles Chart this Friday.
