The GBI and APD are finally back in action!
Will Trent is finally back, and they’re bringing everything we love about the show: action-packed cases, high stakes, drama, and hints about Will’s past.
Luckily for everyone, we’ve got an exclusive preview of the Will Trent season 3 premiere, which explores the latest case, the friction between the GBI and Will, and the suspect’s relationship with Will Trent relationship between. Welcome back.
When Will Trent Season 2 Episode 10 ended, Will arrested Angie for her role in abetting and causing Crystal’s downfall. Soon after, he took Betty and left, leaving the house to Nico.
His decisions affect some of his relationships, and we’ll likely see how the team’s lack of Will’s presence affects it in the highly-anticipated premiere.
Amanda said that two off-duty police officers were injured at the captain’s barbecue. The GBI and APD will jointly investigate and Faith will be responsible for the case.
After Will leaves, Faith learns that local gangs may be sending messages, which sparks her excitement. As you’ll see in this exclusive clip, the confrontation with the gang leader doesn’t go as planned.
Faith (Iantha Richardson) calmly talks to prime suspect Raphael Wexford. While the rest of the team is horrified that a gang attack occurred in broad daylight, she treats it as just another case.
While Faith has always been a badass, she doesn’t always get the chance to lead a case, so it’s refreshing to see her negotiate.
Unfortunately for Faith, Raphael Wexford refused to deal with her. He would only talk to Will Trent.
This could be a problem since no one has heard from Will in months, but they need him to solve these cases.
Obviously, Will will be back, as the series wouldn’t exist without its protagonist, but what drama awaits him?
Since Faith and Amanda haven’t spoken to him in months, they may feel betrayed and hurt that Will didn’t reach out.
Amanda might handle it better than Faith, as she sympathizes with Will and will likely appeal for his return.
Faith had always wanted Will to open up, and if Will didn’t, Faith might get hurt.
Her pride may be bruised because she can’t solve the case without him, so there may be some friction between them for the first time since the show premiered.
More spoilers hint that Will will return to help solve the case. As he works to clear his friend’s name in corruption, he is drawn to the past.
It’s implied that Will and Raphael Wexford are old friends, and we suspect he’s another foster acquaintance. They often pulled his friends out of there.
We can’t wait to see how they meet and what new secrets we’ll learn about Will’s past.
If Will Trent’s season 1 premiere wasn’t action-packed, it would have been a premiere for all of our main characters.
