CBS has ordered at least five derivatives for the 2026-2027 season, so why not add the Blue Blood Prequel?
I know; it gives us Boston Blue. However, there is more room for Blue Blood franchise.
The prequel will be the perfect show to soften the blow of losing the original. I’m still angry at CBS’s decision, but a show so close to the original Blue Blood might help me forgive the network.
Fire Country has two derivative products, so why can you only get one of Blue Blood?
Boston Blue is by far the only blue blood derivative on the CBS schedule.
On the other hand, there are two fire states: Sheriff’s State and Fire State: Surfing.
I have no objection to Fire Nation, but I always adjust for Blue Blood on Friday nights and I am not satisfied with the Boston Blue premise.
The new show will star in Danny Reagan, but no other Reagans are mentioned.
Instead, it sounds like we are an alternative police family because Danny’s new partner comes from a well-known police family in Boston.
That’s great, but swapping Reagan for a random other person doesn’t sound like the best way to do a Blue Blood legacy. I’m sure I’ll fall in love with this family too, but I need more Reagans in the meantime.
Blue Bloods Prequel is a great way to continue the series’ legacy
Sadly, we will never recover blue blood.
Its ratings cannot be copied or has millions of angry fans, some of whom have some angry fans in revenge.
The series is so expensive that the huge fan base simply doesn’t matter.
The Blue Blood Prequel is the next best thing to do.
Unlike Boston Blue, the Blue Blood Prequel series does not have to change positions. It still commemorates NYPD like the original series.
It also respects the family values of the series, especially the Reagans, without the budget issue that ultimately kills Blue Blood.
Ideally, the prequel would be set up in the late 1980s or early 1990s when Frank’s kids were young and Henry was the police commissioner.
This setting will allow for the same story type as Blue Blood: Family drama mixed with police drama, although the only police officers on the table are Henry and Frank.
Essentially, Frank will be in the life where Danny was at the beginning: a professional cop with a wife and children at home and he must support it on the salary of a paltry policeman.
Likewise, Henry will play Frank’s role in Blue Blood: the Chief of Police, who would rather worry about politics when considering the benefit of the police below him.
The prequel series will give us a deeper understanding of Henry and Frank
Henry is one of my favorite blueblood characters, but his role is small and shrinks as the years go by.
For the most part, he was there to provide emotional support, lamenting how the changes in policing have changed since the day and providing wisdom at the dining table – he only has one real storyline per season.
Apparently, the man encountered the eyes. He once admitted that he and his wife went to a nudist beach and shocked everyone at the dining table.
The Blue Bloods Prequel will give us a different side of Henry.
The younger Henry might run against his police station and his family, which is very different from Henry’s older, smarter Henry, which is interesting because of what his life was like at that time.
Indeed, the Blue Bloods Prequel can tell the story of how Henry became the man we know him today.
Similarly, some of the family stories the Reagan kids talk about may come to life in the prequel show. Erin’s loyalty and control of brothers may be a recurring theme, and we’ll also learn how Frank and his wife raised their children for their children when they were young.
We finally met with Joe Reagan, too.
He has been a ghost throughout the 14 seasons of Blue Bloods, but if his young self was a charming, adorable child, his death would make his death even more poignant, growing up to be the one who sacrificed his life through the struggle against police corruption.
How cool is that?
Does the Blue Bloods prequel include the original actors?
It would be great if the young actors from Blue Blood Season 14 can join the prequel.
Donnie Wahlberg will play Danny on Boston Blue, so he’s unlikely to step in with a young Frank, though that will make the prequel cooler.
Will Estes will be an interesting choice for young candid, though. Over the years, there has been a discussion about how much Jamie is like his father.
Unfortunately, neither can be green. One of the reasons why Blue Blood is premature is that its big actors are paid more than CBS can afford.
So we might have to start with the new actors who play Henry and Frank. Still, there is a way that original actors can still participate.
The prequel may be in a time-honored and authentic way of old characters narratives.
Tom Selleck’s Frank Reagan may be telling his past story.
Heck, the prequel can even borrow my mother by having Frank tell his grandchildren when they are young.
Instead, Will Estes’ Jamie can do that, because he has a child on the way at the end of the Blue Blood.
This twist will allow for occasional special plots, in which Eddie tells the story of her childhood.
Obviously there is a million blue blood prequels, but what do you think?
The potential of the Blue Blood series was set before the original work.
But what do you think, Blue Blood Fanatic?
Should CBS give us one? Will it heal the hole in your heart as blue blood is cancelled?
