For teen drama fans, this is a great time!
Following the news that Netflix’s hit teen mystery drama A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder has been renewed, we have more exciting news that another popular show on the streamer is set to return.
Kitty Covey is back and we’ll be heading back to Seoul soon! We’ve also got some sneak peek images and a synopsis for XO Hello Kitty Season 2!
XO, what is Kitty about?
Unless you’re somehow stuck, you probably know about To All the Boys, the movie adaptation of Jenny Han’s wonderful teen series.
But don’t worry. If you do miss them, you should head over to Netflix to watch them in action.
They’re the strongest movie adaptation of a teen series yet, starring Lana Candor as Lara Jean Covey and Noah Centineo as Like the perfect Peter Kavinsky, these two characters gave us wonderful performances.
Following the success of the film, the TV series “XO, Kitty” tells the story of Lara Jean’s sister, Katherine “Kitty” Covey, who begins her own relationship with Lara Jean’s journey to get in touch.
Anna Cathcart is a charismatic protagonist as Kitty Song Covey. We follow her to KISS, the prestigious school in Seoul attended by her late mother, as she attempts to reconnect with her past and heritage and falls into a love story with her long-distance boyfriend Dae.
Kitty’s journey to a new school in a new country provides a wonderfully comedic yet heartwarming fish-out-of-water vibe similar to Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris (albeit with infinite charm).
XO, is Kitty based on the book?
No!
Kitty is a character in Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy, but the spin-offs are original works unrelated to the books in the series and tell completely original stories.
Where does XO, Kitty Season 1 end?
When we last saw Katie, she was single after breaking up with her boyfriend Dae.
If you know Katie well, you know how important this is to her. She is a young woman who loves love and is fully committed to the “one true love” trope, believing that Dae is everything to her.
For Katie, it’s a sign of growing up and deciding that there may be more to life and love than she realizes. This is especially revealing for Kitty, as she not only harbors feelings for Dae, but also for effortlessly cool “bad boy” frenemy Ming-Ho, KISS’s “It Girl” and rival-turned- Yuri, who is her crush, also has feelings.
After a tumultuous semester at KISS, Katie investigates her family history while in Seoul and uncovers secrets and revelations about some of those closest to her, before boarding a plane home after being expelled for the semester. .
But the ending left fans screaming and thinking about the possibilities as we saw her sitting next to enemy, friend, and possible new love Minho.
XO, what will Kitty Season 2 be about?
Netflix has teased that Kitty will return to the Korean Independent School in Seoul (KISS) for her second semester.
She has a new plan: Don’t interfere too much in the love lives of those around her, or their lives in general.
Katie also plans to enjoy her single life, maybe go on some casual dates, and avoid drama at all costs.
This sounds fake, right? Kitty could never! But she deserves credit for trying, although we’ll have to see how long this lasts.
Of course, when Katie notices a letter about her mother’s past, she’ll embark on another investigative journey to unravel the letter’s origins and the mystery surrounding it. We all know Kitty on a mission is a force to be reckoned with, so it’s worth buckling up for that alone.
Katie is better equipped to find the truth in Seoul, but this new adventure may also bring new faces and places to the table, which is exciting.
She’ll also learn new things that may test the bonds of relationships and friendships, and she’ll realize that life, romance, family, and friends are all more complicated than she imagined.
Who will star in XO, Kitty Season 2?
Of course, the talented Anna Cathcart will reprise her role as the beloved Kitty Covey.
Season 1 cast: Choi Min Young (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Regan Aliyah (Juliana), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison) and Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee) will also return for their sophomore seasons.
In addition to most of the cast from season one, we can also expect some new faces.
Audrey Huynh will play Stella, Sasha Bhasin will play Pravena in season 2, and Joshua Lee ) will play Jin, and Philippe Lee will play Mr. Moon.
Season 2 will also feature a surprise guest, Noah Centineo, who will reprise his role as the beloved Peter Kavinsky in Meet Kitty!
When will the second season of “XO, Kitten” premiere?
The new season of XO Kitty is back sooner than we thought. Maybe not, since technically it’s been about a year and a half since the show first aired on Netflix. Maybe we should blame the wait on the strike.
However, fans can tune into the show on January 16th.
XO, how many episodes are there in Kitty Season 2?
While there’s no official confirmation of episode numbers or titles, the first season has ten episodes, and we expect the second season to have the same plot.
We haven’t determined yet whether there will be split seasons. However, considering Netflix hasn’t released multiple release dates yet, this strongly suggests that we could binge-watch the entire season on January 16th, rather than waiting a month between “parties.”
I’m so anxious, thank you!
Is there a trailer for season 2 of “XO, Kitty”?
Unfortunately, there’s no trailer for the new season yet, but we’ll update this article as soon as Netflix releases a trailer. However, this post includes the first look photos from the season as well as an interesting announcement from the cast sharing the premiere date!
Guys, guess what? We’re back, and we’re not the only ones, because the XO, Kitty season 2 trailer brings a big surprise!
In the minute-and-a-half trailer, we learn a little bit about Kitty and the gang, and learn that everyone will be starting the spring semester at KISS.
In the trailer, we hear that Katie is determined to better organize her priorities this semester, launching “Katie 2.0” to focus on her schoolwork and learning more about her mother.
XO, Katie’s Season 2 Trailer Teases Self-Discovery
But we all know that’s never going to be the case, right? First, we see that her love life is still a mess.
For much of the trailer, we see her pining for Yuri, unable to contain her feelings whenever they cross paths, which it seems they do a lot because – maybe they’re roommates?
Interestingly, based on some of the clips we’ve seen, Yuri and her girlfriend may be in trouble.
Meanwhile, Day seems a little lost this season, and the chemistry between Kitty and Minghao isn’t lost, and everyone else is seeing it from Mars.
It seems like things are “complicated” between the two, and Minghao may even be trying to avoid Kitty and not admit his feelings for her!
We did hear that Kitty wanted to try dating women this season, but she found it difficult while she still had feelings for Yuri, so thankfully we’ll get to see her journey of exploring her sexuality as she There are some great and wonderful prospects out there!
Peter Kavinsky guest stars!
But the most exciting moment in the trailer is when Katie gets a surprise visitor from her hometown, which is enough to make every TATBILB fan ecstatic.
Peter Kavinsky wore a Stamford sweatshirt and gave his favorite almost sister (let’s do it) a bear hug in South Korea, encouraging her to get through it all and remember who she is.
“You’re Kitty Song fucking Covey. Don’t forget that.
This season’s tagline teases: “Follow the rules and you’ll never find yourself,” which couldn’t be more fitting for Katie.
Well, it’s over to you, Kitty Fanatics. check it out!
