The young thug’s father was not happy with the terms of his son’s release from prison.
Jeffrey Williams Sr. interviewed by local news media in Atlanta 11 alive Outside court last night, he admitted that while he was grateful his son had finally appeared in court, he was “shocked” by his decision to enter a non-negotiated plea because he wanted the mob to keep fighting.
“Well, I’m kind of shocked,” he told reporters, before saying he agreed with his son’s lawyers to continue fighting rather than plead guilty. “Let’s keep fighting, you know, let them keep embarrassing themselves, but by the same token, I never tried to interfere with his decision, I supported him.”
He added: “I’m happy for him to come home, but equally, I still want him to compete, but it’s his decision. I raised him to be who he is. You know, from a puppy to now, I’ve always Be present in his life. I will continue to be present in his life. As an adult, he has to make his own decisions.
Thugger Sr. was then asked about some of the conditions for his son’s release, one of which included not being allowed to visit the Atlanta metropolitan area for 10 years. “I’m totally against it because this is his hometown. To have a DA take that away from him – she’s from another state – to see her take a man away from his hometown, to have to go Living anywhere else, it’s offensive to me and I get really offended by it.
He wore a hat with the name of DA Fani Willis’ opponent, Courtney Kramer, in the upcoming election in November. “In order for us to get back to normalcy, we have to do more. But what do we need to do first for Atlanta, Fulton County? We need to get this poison out of our system, and that’s the District Attorney’s Office, so Vote for Courtney Kramer.
Williams Sr. has been outspoken in supporting his son and Gunnar, who were both involved in the ordeal. He repeatedly defended Gunna when some of his peers and fans accused Gunna of being a snitch after he accepted Alford’s plea.
