It’s a long-standing Konami tradition to release cans every year. Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game. Essentially, these jars are a second attempt at cards that have been released in the last year or so.
Even in the original can, you get last year’s packaging rather than the new Mega-Pack model. this 25th Anniversary Tin: Duel Mirrors It’s available now in 2024 cans, and if you want, you can pick up a can from your local OTS/game store for $21.99, but I wouldn’t personally recommend it.
I do have to thank Konami for providing me with a jar that I can open, I would say, the physical product is nice. I love the marble-like texture of the silver background, and then the relief art of Yami Yugi (or Atem, if you prefer) and Seto Kaiba. Then you can see 18 pieces of art from 50 quarter-century secret rare treasures. The physical tin is very clean and I do like it.
Unfortunately, the overall feel of the product is terrible and hopeless. I’m currently working on a more detailed article about my problem and potential solutions for the canned future, but suffice it to say, getting any card you really want is a miracle. On the bright side, with these reprints, the prices of cards on the secondary market have dropped quite a bit.
You can watch me open my jar to reveal the Grandopolis card sleeves and game mats, which were also recently released at OTS locations for $9.99 for 100 card sleeves and $16.99 for the game mats. Overall, I really like the accessories, although I’m sad that the mat doesn’t have a card area outline.
