Eric of boy band The Boyz signed with Grid Entertainment on Monday and will continue his music career under the new agency.

He will continue group activities under a separate, newly established label that has yet to be disclosed.

“We’re happy to welcome Eric and will fully support him as he continues to grow as an artist,” the agency said. “We also ask for your continued interest and support, as Eric plans to connect with fans through a range of activities.”

Eric also expressed excitement about joining the new agency.

“Building on the experience and lessons I have gained as a member of The Boyz, I hope to show new sides of myself in the future,” he said. “I strongly connected with Grid Entertainment’s musical direction and production vision, and felt that they aligned well with what I want to pursue. I look forward to working together based on mutual trust and respect. Please look forward to seeing new sides of me.”

Eric debuted as the youngest member of The Boyz under Cre.Ker Entertainment in December 2017 with the song “Boy.” It is also best known for “No Air” (2018), “Reveal” (2020) and “Thrill Ride” (2021).

Nine of the group’s 10 members — Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo and Eric — except New, will take part in the group’s activities managed by a newly established label as they had been in dispute with One Hundred Label, their former agency, over allegedly not receiving settlement payments since July of last year.
