Disney has debuted the first trailer and poster for The Bluey Movie, the 3DCG-animated feature that’s coming to theaters on August 6, 2027. It is the first feature for the franchise and the big screen debut for Bluey and her family. The trailer played to a packed Honda Center at D23, with a surprise game of Keepy Uppy for the crowd.
Bluey follows a lovable, inexhaustible blue heeler dog who lives with her Mum, Dad and little sister, Bingo, and whose limitless energy turns games into adventures that pull in her family and the whole neighborhood. BBC Studios Kids & Family and ABC Children’s commissioned the series. The film takes place on an action-packed day when a big surprise changes everything for Bluey and her family.

Series creator Joe Brumm writes and directs. Richard Jeffery co-directs; Amber Naismith produces. Brumm executive produces with Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson for Ludo Studio and Justine Flynn for BBC Studios.
Ludo Studio produces the film in Queensland, Australia, in collaboration with BBC Studios; Walt Disney Studios distributes. Disney holds global theatrical rights, and BBC Studios finances and licenses the picture.
The Emmy- and BAFTA-winning series Bluey was 2025’s most-streamed program in the U.S. for the second year in a row, with 45.2 billion minutes streamed, and the top kids’ show on CBeebies and Disney+ in the U.K.
