DJI Osmo 360 II: replaceable lenses and 8K60 in China

The DJI Osmo 360 II is live in China. DJI’s official product page lists native 8K/60 360 video, 14.5-stop dynamic range, AI SuperNight 2.0, and user-replaceable lenses. Because the first Osmo 360 could not swap a scratched dome, this one can. DJI’s China store lists the Standard Combo at 3,299 yuan. The US site still sells the original Osmo 360. DJI has not posted a US date or dollar price.

    What you can finally replace

Both 360 lenses sit proud of the body. Therefore, a bag zip or a bike crash can end the useful life of a camera that otherwise still works. DJI now calls the glass scratch-resistant and replaceable. That is the headline change. It also matches what Insta360 already sells on the X6. TMM covered Insta360’s X6 8K flagship this month. DJI is closing the same gap, not inventing a new category.

The official store copy says the Osmo 360 II “captures every side of the story.” However, the useful story is still the glass. A lens kit is listed as a separate accessory on the China page. DJI does not publish a US kit price yet. Still, the body is designed so a wrecked dome is a parts swap, not a brick.

The 8K60 numbers DJI actually published

DJI’s spec sheet is specific. Native 360 video runs 7680 x 3840 from 24 to 60 fps. Also, slow-motion 360 can hit 4K at 100, 200, or 240 fps. Single-lens ultra-wide video reaches 4K at up to 120 fps. Then 16K 360 time-lapse is on the list at 25 or 30 fps. Photos go to 15,520 x 7,760, which DJI labels 120MP. Finally, video bitrate tops out at 220 Mbps, or 600 Mbps for 16K time-lapse. Built-in storage is 128GB, with 105GB usable. A microSD slot can add more.

Meanwhile, the sensor story is a 1-inch-class 360 image system and a 2.4 um fused pixel size. DJI says that setup plus a new chip is what makes 8K/60 possible without dropping to a softer frame rate. AI SuperNight 2.0 is listed for low light. Dynamic range is 14.5 stops on the product page. Specifically, D-Log M is not broken out as a lower number on the official spec table we read, so treat extra 13.5-stop D-Log claims as unverified unless DJI adds them.

Battery, body, and what it costs in China

The official battery is 2,150 mAh. DJI’s lab figure is up to 100 minutes of 8K/30 360 with Wi-Fi, gestures, and voice off, and the screen dark. However, the body still weighs only 183 grams. It measures 61 x 36.3 x 81 mm. Also, a 2-inch screen sits on the front. IP68 is listed as 10 meters bare and 50 meters with the invisible waterproof case. NFC tap-to-connect and subject tracking are on the marketing page. The magnetic Osmo mount ecosystem stays.

China pricing is public. Meanwhile, the Standard Combo is 3,299 yuan. The Adventure Combo is 3,999 yuan. Other bundles sit between those two. As a result, DJI kept the same launch ballpark as the first camera in China. It did not publish a US MSRP. Besides the missing dollar price, there is no US store listing for the II. If you only shop dji.com from the United States, you still see the original Osmo 360.

Then the practical limit is geography, not the spec card. Pocket flying cameras keep arriving too. TMM already covered the HOVERAir VERSA pocket gimbal. Instead of waiting on a rumor calendar, treat the Osmo 360 II as a China launch. It has a real store page and a 3,299 yuan tag. It has no confirmed US shelf. If DJI wants those replaceable lenses in American shops, it still has to say so.
