Partnership brings AiCandy’s pioneering approach to AI filmmaking into m25’s growing network across Asia Pacific and The Middle East
L-R: Marcus Tesoriero and Kent Boswell
Regional producer-led network and market acceleration platform, m25, has welcomed APAC’s leading AI-powered creative film production company, AiCandy, to its ecosystem of global talent.
The strategic partnership marks an exciting new chapter for both companies, bringing AiCandy’s pioneering approach to AI filmmaking into m25’s growing network across Asia Pacific and The Middle East.
Founded in Sydney by internationally awarded creative and production duo Marcus Tesoriero and Kent Boswell, AiCandy brings together an exclusive roster of AI film directors from around the globe with a clear ambition: to explore how generative AI can unlock the next generation of film craft and make the impossible possible.
For m25 founder Chris Thorp, AiCandy represents exactly the kind of forward looking production partner the network was created to support. “Marcus and Kent understand the entire production arc bringing experience from both agency and production sides, they haven’t just adopted AI they’ve adapted decades of award-winning film craft into an AI-driven pipeline they have pioneered. AiCandy has built a familiar production workflow that replaces physical shoots with commercial ready AI filmmaking, without compromising precision, creative control, approvals or final output quality.”

The idea first took shape while having a beer in Cannes over two years ago between Kent and Marcus, when conversations around Artificial Intelligence were beginning to dominate the creative industry.
“We could see that something fundamental was changing,” says AiCandy co-founder Kent Boswell. “The tools were still incredibly early, but the creative potential was impossible to ignore. We always believed AI was going to become a powerful new filmmaking medium.”
That belief led the pair to launch AiCandy as Asia Pacific’s first dedicated AI film production company, built from the ground up around experienced filmmakers, creatives, producers and specialist AI artists.
Rather than treating AI as a replacement for traditional filmmaking disciplines, AiCandy has focused on how the technology can expand them. For the company, storytelling, direction, performance, cinematography, production design, editing, sound and visual craft all remain at the heart of the process.
“AI is just a tool,” says Kent. “We’re hands-on throughout the entire process. The idea still matters. Storytelling still matters. Taste still matters. Craft still matters. What excites us is that filmmakers now have an entirely new creative language to work with.”
Since launching, AiCandy has rapidly developed a globally recognised portfolio of films, working with agencies and brands across Europe, USA and the Asia Pacific region.

For Marcus Tesoriero, a former chief creative officer whose career includes senior leadership roles at Dentsu, Ogilvy, DDB and McCann, AI filmmaking has reignited the sense of possibility that sits at the heart of great creative work.
“When you start with an idea, you want to be able to follow it as far as your imagination can take you,” says Marcus. “We feel this is one of the most exciting moments the creative industry has ever seen. In the right hands, AI filmmaking now allows agencies and brands to bring almost any big idea to life, whether you’re a global brand or a smaller challenger.”
The shift is changing the economics of ambition. For Marcus, ideas that once would have been scaled back, ruled out or left sitting in the bottom drawer can now be brought back to life with far fewer traditional production constraints.
“Creativity has now become the great equaliser. It’s less about how much budget you have and more about how powerful the idea is. Whether you already have a killer script ready to go, or need help shaping the idea from the start, our strength is in unlocking the full creative potential of AI filmmaking.”

AiCandy’s growing international footprint has also seen the company increasingly work across Asian markets, making the new partnership with m25 a natural next step to continue expanding its presence throughout Asia, collaborating with agencies, brands, producers and creative partners across some of the region’s most dynamic markets.
“We’re already working with some fantastic clients in Singapore, which has given us a real taste of the opportunity across Asia,” says Marcus. “Now we’re excited to spread our wings further. Markets like China, Korea, Japan and the Philippines have incredibly strong creative cultures, and we think there’s a huge opportunity for AiCandy to help agencies and brands in this region push ideas further and unlock what AI filmmaking can now make possible.”
“We want to bring together partners who are defining where production is heading next,” says Thorp. “AiCandy is doing exactly that.”
The tools behind AI filmmaking will continue to evolve rapidly, but for AiCandy, the broader ambition remains unchanged: to help pioneer a new era of filmmaking where technology elevates film craft rather than replacing it.
