Pressure European Premiere Interviews
Plot:
Set during the final days before the Normandy invasion, Pressure follows Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg (Andrew Scott), who is tasked with delivering what would become the most consequential weather forecast in modern history. With Allied forces poised to launch the largest seaborne invasion ever attempted, Stagg finds himself at the centre of a mounting crisis — poor weather threatens to derail the operation and cost countless lives, while any postponement risks alerting German forces to the Allies’ plans. As tensions rise among military commanders, Stagg faces immense pressure from Allied leadership while wrestling with the memory of a disastrous D-Day rehearsal. His closest confidante is Captain Kay Summersby (Kerry Condon), while the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser). With only hours remaining before the operation begins, the fate of the war and millions of lives hang in the balance.
