The music video for “SWIM” by the group BTS (BTS, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) has been nominated in the “Best Music Video” category at Toruń CAMERIMAGE, a film festival of global prestige.
According to the list of nominees for the 2026 music video competition announced by Toruń CAMERIMAGE on the 19th (all times local), “SWIM,” the title track from BTS’s fifth studio album “ARIRANG,” was nominated for “Best Music Video.”
Out of 300 entries submitted worldwide, “SWIM” made the final list of 18 nominees, where it will compete against works such as Harry Styles’ “American Girls,” Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me,” and Madonna’s “CONFESSIONS II.”
Founded in 1993, Toruń CAMERIMAGE is the world’s most prestigious film festival specializing in visual aesthetics and cinematography. It is regarded as the “Oscars of Cinematography” within the film and video industry. The “SWIM” music video has been recognized for both its artistic merit and popular appeal through its beautiful visuals and refined direction. Released last March, the song and music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube on April 15, less than a month after their release, gaining worldwide popularity.
The video boasts an overwhelming scale against the backdrop of the vast sea in Lisbon, Portugal. It features the delicate emotional acting of Hollywood actress Lili Reinhart and the sensuous direction of world-renowned director Tanu Muino. The seven members appear as steadfast supporters who quietly back a character striving to move forward despite life’s setbacks. The video unfolds like a film, conveying the song’s message of love for life and moving forward.
The 34th CAMERIMAGE Film Festival will be held from November 7 to 14 in Toruń, Poland. The nominees in the Best Music Video category will receive special screenings at the main screening hall of CKK Jordanki during the festival period. The award results will be announced at the closing ceremony on the final day of the event.
