Montréal, August 28, 2026 – Less than a week after the Early Access launch of 1666: Amsterdam, Panache Digital Games has released its third and final Developer Diary, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the music and sound design of the game.

Featuring singer-songwriter Jorane, the episode explores the creative process behind the soundtrack, the instruments and techniques used by the team, and how Amsterdam itself influenced the music and sounds heard throughout the game.

    • Philippe Charron – Audio Director

    • Jorane – Singer & Songwriter

    • Eloi Painchaud – Mixing & Mastering Engineer

    • Sophie-Agnès Mongeau – Sound Designer

    • Patrice Désilets – Co-Founder & Creative Director

The Developer Diary introduces the artists behind the sound of 1666: Amsterdam and the process behind its musical identity, including why Jorane became a natural choice for the project.

The episode explores how music and sound change across characters, time periods and districts of Amsterdam. Noa and Aaron each have their own musical theme, reflecting their different perspectives within the game.

It also looks at the instruments and audio techniques used throughout production, and how Amsterdam itself influenced the game’s music and sound design.

The episode features footage from the 1666: Amsterdam Preview Event in July, where Jorane performed music from the game live.

This third Developer Diary concludes the series, following previous episodes focused on the creative vision and artistic direction of 1666: Amsterdam.
