New Update
X has updated its video upload and posting process with a refreshed video editor and editable captions.
According to X developer Allegra Jacchia, the updated editor has a more focused layout and allows users to edit captions directly in the composer.
Users can manually edit generated captions or use X’s Grok-powered AI tools to correct them. The tool can also translate captions into another language.
Jacchia in a post on X said, “We just shipped an updated version of our native video editor — cleaner, more intuitive, and much easier to use. As a video creator on X myself, I’ve been loving it. We also shipped one of our most requested features: editable captions.”
She added that users can edit generated captions manually, ask Grok to correct them or specify how they want them changed, including translating them into another language.
“Captions are one of the simplest ways to keep people watching, especially when so many people watch video with the sound off. More improvements to the editor coming soon,” Jacchia said.
X had updated its video editor in July with features including additional multilingual caption tools and green-screen recording. The latest update expands the platform’s native video editing tools.
