The newly launched director dashboard, 30-second generation capability, and support for up to 50 reference assets integrate more of the film production workflow into a single AI-powered production environment.
San Francisco, October 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Higgsfield, an integrated professional video and image production platform, is launching Cinema Studio 4.0, which integrates camera movement, character performance, and longer-duration video generation into a single production workflow.
Cinema Studio 4.0 is now live on higgsfield.ai, a workspace for AI filmmaking that allows users to set up shots, focal lengths, lighting, pacing, and character performances before generation. It can generate 30-second multi-shot scenes based on up to 50 reference materials, compared to version 3.5, which supported only 15-second clips and nine reference materials.
Creators can shape the scene before generation, continue a specific shot without interrupting the entire clip, or modify only certain details without regenerating the entire video.
Adil Alimzhanov, Head of Content at Higgsfield, said: “Most AI video tools simply take a prompt and return a clip. Cinema Studio is more like a film studio. Filmmakers can choose AI actors, camera angles, and lens focal lengths, set up scene lighting, adjust colors, add sound, extend shots, or refine specific details without starting over. Since everything is done within the same environment, filmmakers can maintain consistent visuals and characters from the first frame to the last, and the final output can seamlessly move into other Higgsfield workflows.”
What are the new features in Higgsfield Cinema Studio 4.0?
The Director Panel in Cinema Studio 4.0 brings many decisions made by filmmakers before and during shooting into the generation process.
Creators can choose from seven types, set the time period between the 1960s and 2020s, and adjust the editing pace from single shots to fast, chaotic sequences. Camera options include modern digital cameras, DV camcorders, 35mm film, and 8mm film, with lens styles ranging from crisp and sharp to anamorphic widescreen and vintage effects.
The color palette has expanded from 8 presets in version 3.5 to over 50. Lighting settings are no longer limited to presets—creators can now customize color, brightness, diffusion, and angle. New camera movements, including first-person, robotic arm, and helicopter views, offer more ways to shape scenes.
Role performance now has dedicated controls. The Emotion Wheel allows creators to guide character performances, adjusting facial expressions and body language to convey emotions such as joy, anger, fear, and trust.
The expanded reference system addresses a common practical challenge: how to maintain consistency in characters, products, or visual styles across a sequence. Each generation can now invoke up to 50 reference assets, including uploaded images and videos, as well as characters from Higgsfield Soul Cast. Elements created in earlier versions of Cinema Studio can also be used as reference assets.
You can continue advancing the scenario without starting from scratch.
Cinema Studio 4.0 also adds tools to continue processing assets after initial generation.
Forward/Backward Extend allows creators to extend beyond the end of an uploaded video or add leading content before the beginning. Edit Video enables targeted modifications to specific parts of a clip, such as an object or a face, without regenerating the entire video.
Upload videos up to 30 seconds long. The native audio generation feature adds dialogue, sound effects, and background music while generating the video.
Together, these capabilities allow creators to develop a sequence, adjust performances, or correct details without having to restart the entire process.
For film, television, and commercial productions
Cinema Studio is designed for AI filmmakers, short-form and series creators, studios, agencies, and brands, ideal for producing content such as advertisements, music videos, and narrative films. It is also the production environment behind Higgsfield Originals, the company’s platform for AI-powered films and series.
Cinema Studio performs real-face and protected intellectual property screening on every generation. If a generation is flagged, the system blocks the output and displays a prompt to the creator saying “May contain protected content.”
A process that runs throughout
Cinema Studio can be used as a standalone creation tool or as part of Higgsfield Supercomputer’s larger workflow—the company’s agent-based workspace. Creators can manually set each parameter in Cinema Studio, or describe their project in natural language, allowing the Supercomputer to plan the process, route each step to the appropriate workspace (including Cinema Studio), and consolidate results within a chat interface. For product and marketing creative needs, Marketing Studio offers a separate set of template-based workflows for advertisements, UGC, product images, platform assets, posters, and dynamic content.
Cinema Studio 4.0 is now live on higgsfield.ai and is the default version when accessing Cinema Studio. Model access depends on your subscription plan, and content generation is billed in credits. Costs vary based on resolution, clip duration, and the underlying model used; the exact credit cost will be displayed before generation. For a 10-second 720p clip with native audio and a 16:9 aspect ratio, the cost is 70 credits; a full 30-second 1080p clip costs 480 credits, or 360 credits if using the current limited-time 1080p discount. If generation fails due to technical issues, credits will be automatically refunded. Generation fees for Cinema Studio are billed separately from the unlimited model access included in your Higgsfield plan.
