Directed by Pantera, the films celebrate craftsmanship, legacy and the journeys that shape artists
IXYXI created the sound design for For A Lifetime of Lives, RIMOWA’s three-part film series directed by Pantera and featuring musician, composer and producer Theo Croker.
The films celebrate craftsmanship, legacy and the journeys that shape artists and the objects that travel alongside them. Through music, memory and movement, Theo Croker serves as both guide and storyteller, translating experience into sound across three distinct chapters.
Episode One: Window Seat
Window Seat explores the relationship between father and son, examining the ideas of inheritance, memory and what is carried forward through generations. Some things cannot be taught directly; they are passed on through moments, rituals and shared experiences.
The sound design reflects this quiet transmission, supporting the emotional weight of a single moment in which a lifetime of knowledge, music and curiosity changes hands. Subtle textures and intimate sonic details mirror the film’s themes of legacy and the enduring pursuit of the road ahead.
Episode Two: Run It Back
Run It Back follows the formative years of an artist’s journey through rehearsal spaces, performances and life on the road. The path toward mastery is rarely linear, shaped instead by challenges, detours and constant reinvention.
The sound design captures this sense of movement and progression, weaving together environments, rhythms and transitions that echo the evolving experiences of the artist. Each city, stage and encounter leaves its own imprint, marking another chapter in a life dedicated to creation.
Episode Three: Another Take
In Another Take, performance, memory and personal history converge. The film reflects on how every journey continues to resonate long after it has ended, influencing the music, the artist and what comes next.
IXYXI’s sound design emphasises these layers of time and experience, creating a sonic landscape that connects past and present. As Theo Croker’s music carries the traces of every road taken, the RIMOWA suitcase becomes a companion to transformation and reinvention, bearing the marks of a lifetime of movement.
Together, the three films form a meditation on craftsmanship, artistic evolution and the stories we carry with us. Through sound, music and atmosphere, IXYXI helped shape a series that celebrates both the journeys themselves and the lasting impact they leave behind.
