Twice’s Jeongyeon is to pursue her acting career with Varo <a href="https://cinemamix360.com/2026/08/09/ample-entertainment-unveils-youtube-push/” title=”Ample Entertainment unveils YouTube push”>Entertainment, the same agency as her sister, actor Gong Seung-yeon.
Jeongyeon signed an exclusive contract with Varo Entertainment, home to actors Byeon Woo-seok and Gong, the agency said Monday.
“We are truly delighted to begin this meaningful partnership with Yu Jeong-yeon, who possesses a wide range of charms and boundless potential,” Varo Entertainment said in a press release. Yu Jeong-yeon is Jeongyeon’s full name. “We were deeply moved by her sincerity and genuine commitment to acting.”

“Building on the global presence Yu Jeong-yeon has established over the years as a singer, we will be a reliable partner who fully supports her in every way as she takes on new challenges as an actor while continuing her group activities.”
Jeongyeon also posted a handwritten letter on Instagram the same day.
“JYP has been my second home since my teenage years; a place where I’ve spent so much time and created so many cherished memories,” she wrote. “I am now preparing to start a new chapter in a new place.”
“Leaving a place that feels so familiar to me was daunting at first, I was able to find the courage thanks to my members and our Once who have always believed in me.”
Once is the official name for Twice’s fans.
She stressed that Twice will always remain at the heart of who she is.
“The one thing I truly want to tell Once is that even though I am moving on to a new chapter to take on new challenges, Twice, the center of my life, will remain unchanged, just as it is now,” she said. “Standing before Once as a member of Twice will always be my very first priority.”
“I will prepare step by step with all my heart – both for my journey as Twice’s Jeongyeon, whom you have loved so much, and for the new challenges ahead as Yu Jeong-yeon.”
Jeongyeon debuted as a member of Twice under JYP Entertainment in 2015. The group is known for “Cheer Up” (2016), “TT” (2016), “What is Love?” (2018), “Yes or Yes” (2018), and “Feel Special” (2019).
Varo Entertainment is home to actors Byeon, Gong, as well as “Squid Game” actor (2021-25) Lee You-mi, “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” (2025) actor Lee Chae-min, and “Descendants of the Sun” (2016) actor Jin Goo.
