    Tristen Tuckfield joins UTA Independent Film Group

    Tristen Tuckfield has joined UTA Independent Film Group as the team prepares for next month’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF, September 10-20).

    Tuckfield is based in Los Angeles and will focus on packaging, financing and sales strategies for film and television. She arrives from Wonder Project, where she served as chief commercial officer and head of content acquisition overseeing the company’s content strategy for its streaming service on Prime Video.

    Prior to that Tuckfield served as EVP of feature films at Village Roadshow Pictures. She has worked at CAA Media Finance Group and held senior acquisitions roles at Millennium Entertainment and Samuel Goldwyn Films.

    Rena Ronson, partner and head of UTA’s Independent Film Group, said Tuckfield “brings an exceptional understanding of the independent marketplace, deep relationships across the industry, and a proven ability to identify commercial opportunities while championing bold creative voices”.

    This year UTA Independent Film Group has sold Sundance hit TheInvite and Cannes Un Certain Regard smash ClubKid to A24. Fall festival films include Prima Facie starring Cynthia Erivo;Musk from Alex Gibney, and Rapinoe from Rebeca Huntt.
