Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a relatively smooth road considering some of the challenges that I could/could’ve possibly faced, but a few major challenges I’ve experienced going through the industry are things like staying dedicated to the grind even when it seems there is little to no support or progress, continuing to believe in myself and my sound regardless of what others opinions might have been to change it, and remembering that in this business the work is the journey. There is no finish line for me as AL99, I’m always striving for the next best sound I can make, song, album, etc.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TPC Music Production, LLC., is my (AL99) self owned and operated production and publishing company, offering services such as mixing and mastering, beat/song production, and business consultations from my co-owner and manager “Momma Love”. We also offer EPK constructions for independent upcoming artists, and have AL99 merchandise for sale on www.tpcmusicprod99.com. We have recently partnered with UMG/Bungalo in a joint distribution deal still having full ownership over the masters, copyrights, and publishing of AL99’s music.
What are your plans for the future?
I have a new album coming out 9/25/2026 titled “IT’S ME”, where I go through the life experiences, triumphs, setbacks and come ups that made me (AL99) who I am today. I believe that this is my best and most in depth album yet, and it will be available on all streaming platforms. With the hopeful nationwide success of IT’S ME, we will be planning my first tour and we will be hitting cities all around the country.
