Miss. (WLBT) – Downtown Vicksburg is set to come alive with “hip art in a historic setting” as the annual Vicksburg “Hipstoric” Art Festival takes over the historic district from October 2–4, 2026
Acclaimed Mississippi artist H.C. Porter recently joined Studio 3 to preview the three-day celebration of southern creativity, music, and community.
Festival organizers are awarding $7,000 in prize money to participating artists, all of whom were selected through a competitive jury process led by this year’s esteemed juror, Myrna Colley-Lee. In addition, visitors can explore The Legacy Show, which will be on view at the H.C. Porter Gallery all weekend long.
- Friday, Oct. 2 (5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.): The weekend kicks off with a lively downtown block party featuring evening shopping, art, and music.
- Saturday, Oct. 3 (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.): Enjoy art vendors and live music across two stages all day, capped off by the Levitt music headliner performing until 7:30 p.m., followed by a Saturday Night Film Festival.
- Sunday, Oct. 4 (12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.): A final afternoon of art viewing, shopping, and live performances.
Throughout the festival, visitors can also take part in the Mint Julep Trail, while families can enjoy interactive children’s art activities scheduled all weekend long.
