Blizzard has just officially announced Diablo V at BlizzCon 2026, confirming that the next entry in its dark fantasy action-RPG series is already in development and slated for a 2029 release as a PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S title. The announcement comes three years after Diablo IV, making the relatively short gap notable for a franchise that previously went more than a decade between Diablo IIIand IV.
