I always arrive at movie screenings exactly 20 minutes late. At this point, my local cinema will still let me in, but I’ll have missed the endless adverts and trailers – apparently, I’m quite lucky, as these can run for 45 minutes in other venues.

SEMILLERU Lab has opened applications for its 2026 development and post-production programmes, with short films eligible for two €4,000 awards alongside mentoring, subtitling, DCP and legal support.

SEMILLERU Lab has opened the call for its 2026 edition, aimed at film projects in the development and post-production stages. Applications are free of charge and will remain open from September 30 to October 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CET.
