‘Behemoth!’ Teaser Trailer: Pedro Pascal Leads Star-Studded Cast of Tony Gilroy Movie
Behemoth! is heading to theaters this December.
The film, written and directed by Tony Gilroy, stars Pedro Pascal, OliJoBeth Williams, Margarita Levieva, Hank Azaria, and Will Arnett
Here’s the synopsis: “A gifted cellist, Alex Serian (Pascal), returns home to Los Angeles after 20 years on the road. Music, which has been the constant, all-consuming river of his life, begins to carry Alex on an adventure that will change him forever.”
“I’m dying to make this movie. It’s a movie about movie music. It’s a movie about scoring [movies]. The whole movie is surfing on music,” the director teased of the project last year.
“And you find out through the flashbacks why he left [L.A.]. Behemoth!is the fake name of this huge movie at the end. It has to shoot in L.A. and feature live musicians. It’s very expensive, but a lot of people want to help because it’s shooting in L.A., which is a coral reef about to die.”
The movie experienced some casting shakeups leading to filming: Willreplaced David Harbour, who dropped out for personal reasons, and Pedro replaced Oscar Isaac.
“I remember reading [the script] and being like, F–k, I want this,” Pedro told Vanity Fair.
Eva Victor gushed about working with Pedro.
“Pedro is like a walking heart. He is so kind, so warm, so funny. He’s just so charismatic, it’s insane,” she told Us Weekly. “I feel really lucky to get to be in his orbit and, you know, as an actor, all you really ask, all you really pray for is you get to feel like you are being truthful and that you are feeling safe.” See some photos from the set.
