Ana Valente, Ale Paschoalini and KVPA strengthen the production company’s capabilities with a diverse range of creative styles, spanning entertainment, major advertising campaigns, and audiovisual content

BALMA Films, part of the Boiler Hub, has added three new directors to its roster: Ana Valente, Ale Paschoalini, and KVPA.

The move reinforces the company’s strategy of expanding its creative portfolio with filmmakers who combine distinctive artistic voices, technical excellence, and diverse storytelling approaches, further strengthening its presence across advertising, entertainment, and audiovisual content.

Ranked among Brazil’s Top 10 production companies in 2025 and recognised at major national and international festivals, BALMA continues to invest in a network of professionals capable of transforming ideas into impactful creative projects. Guided by its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and exceptional craft, the company believes each new director brings a unique perspective that broadens its creative vision.

“At BALMA, we believe great films are born from a diversity of perspectives. The arrival of these new directors represents exactly that: three filmmakers with strong and complementary creative identities who expand our creative repertoire and reinforce the way we want to shape the future of the company. More than simply bringing together talented directors, we strive to create an environment where creativity, collaboration, and excellence are embedded in every stage of the process,” said Thiago Balma, executive director of BALMA.

Ana Valente joins the company with a filmmaking approach rooted in sensitivity, research, and experimentation. An Indigenous audiovisual director and multimedia artist, she creates work that explores the relationship between image, body, and emotion, crafting narratives designed to inspire new ways of seeing. Her creative process is distinguished by an interest in a variety of visual techniques—particularly animation—and by her use of humour as a storytelling device, resulting in films that balance subtlety, visual power, and authenticity. She previously worked with MyMama Entertainment.

Ale Paschoalini brings more than 15 years of experience spanning advertising, cinema, and entertainment. Known for his sophisticated visual language and strong focus on directing talent, he creates films that engage with contemporary culture and human behaviour. Throughout his career, he has directed campaigns for global brands including Nike, Coca-Cola, Netflix, Globo, ESPN, Honda, Samsung, Jeep, and Burger King, while also developing award-winning original projects screened at international film festivals.

Completing the new additions is KVPA, who previously worked with Hungry Man. He joins BALMA to further strengthen the company’s ability to produce projects that combine creative intelligence with technical precision. His work blends strategic thinking with refined aesthetics to create contemporary content ranging from lifestyle films and documentaries to automotive productions. Regardless of format, his directing philosophy focuses on aligning storytelling, purpose, and efficiency while preserving the unique essence of every project.

The arrival of these three directors reinforces BALMA’s position as a production company committed to building a diverse and dynamic roster capable of meeting a wide range of creative challenges while combining technical excellence with cultural relevance.
