The 32nd Sarajevo <a href="https://cinemamix360.com/2026/08/23/2-free-filmmaking-workshops-at-the-fall-2026-new-jersey-film-festival/" title="2 Free Filmmaking Workshops at the Fall 2026 New Jersey <a href="https://cinemamix360.com/2026/08/23/toronto-film-festival-7-screenwriting-tips-from-aaron-sorkin/" title="Toronto Film Festival: 7 screenwriting tips from Aaron Sorkin”>Film Festival!”>Film Festival top brass handed out the prize winners on Friday night (August 21), withSandra Wollner’s Everytime andTo Hold A MountainfromBiljana Tutorov and Petar Glomazić earning the Heart Of Sarajevo narrative and documentary feature awards, respectively.
Everytime(Austria-Ger) wins a €16,000 award and To Hold A Mountain, which is elieigble for the best international feature film Oscar after it won the Sundance World Cinema Documentary Award in January, collects a €4,000 award.
Ana Urushadze won best director and a €10,000 award for SupportingRole (Georg-Est-Turkey). Eva Kostić was named best actress and collected a €2,500 prize for her performance in 17 (N Mac-Serb-Slovenia) and Adrian Văncică took the €2,500 best actor prize for You Don’t Belng Here(Rom).
The Heart Of Sarajevo For Best Short Documentary Film went to Karla Jelić’s HolyDefiance (Croatia) and collected a €2,000 award.
The awards ceremony took place inside National Theatre Sarajevo where an honorary Heart of Sarajevo was awarded to Emir Hadžihafizbegović, one of the most prominent actors in Bosnian-Herzegovinian and regional cinema.
Honorary Heart of Sarajevo awards were also presented to Emily Watson, Diego Luna, Woody Harrelson, and Asghard Farhadi.
The ceremony concluded with a screening of a restored version of Danis Tanović’s 2002 Oscar winner No Man’s Land.
The CineLink Industry Days awards were handed out on Thursday night. The 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival ran August 14-21.
