Creative Outpost represents a merging of technology and creativity, with each colourist providing a unique approach tailored to the needs of each brief and a cloud workflow meaning seamless worldwide collaboration has become the standard
Award-winning independent boutique post-production studio Creative Outpost is placing colour at the centre of its offering, bringing together internationally recognised colourists, integrated picture and sound post in their beautifully and uniquely designed five-floor studio in the heart of Fitzro hidden gem, Creative Outpost is now opening its doors to a wider creative audience
Working across advertising, music, film and television, Creative Outpost partners with directors, cinematographers, agencies, brands and production companies from the earliest creative conversations through to final delivery. Its full-service offering spans colour, vfx, sound, edit, design, music and finishing, allowing projects to evolve creatively under one roof.
Led by career-long friends, co-founders Danny Etherington and Quentin ‘Q’ Olszewski, at the centre of the studio is its colour department, led by head of colour Mark Horrobin, whose career spans more than two decades shaping the visual language of commercial, film and television work. He has collaborated with award winning directors including Jonathan Glazer, Jake Scott and Anton Corbijn and worked on campaigns for Jaguar and Land Rover to M&S and Lexus.
He is joined by senior colourist Jack Caswell, a former cinematographer whose background behind the camera brings an instinctive understanding of lighting, image-making and collaboration with DPs, with previous credits including Nike, adidas, Calvin Klein, Dior, Google, Lululemon, Uniqlo and Filson.
Esteemed colourist Alexandre Nerzic is also at the forefront of Creative Outpost’s colour offering, hailing from the US and bringing an LA industry expertise to the studio, with a wide portfolio featuring work with major music artists including Stormzy, Dave, Skepta, Central Cee, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems. He had also worked on major campaigns for Arsenal, Zara, The White Company, Burger King, Roger Vivier & Aston Martin. Alexandre was also nominated for Young British Arrows Colourist (2022), The Shark Awards Best New Colourist (2022) and recognised as one of the industry’s most exciting talents.
The colour department is supported by colour assistant Zoe Francis, an up and coming colourist currently working on smaller short films as she develops her craft. Her current focuses are building relationships with other junior Directors / DOPs who are also establishing themselves in the industry to build long term collaborative relationships.
The team’s collective credits span global commercial campaigns, music videos, television series and feature films. Creative Outpost talent has contributed to work for Brands including Nike, YBB, Puma, Xbox, Netflix, Microsoft, M&S, and Roger Vivier.
Together, the team offers a range of creative approaches and experience, with colourists able to join a project before production begins. Creative Outpost can work with directors and DPs to develop LUTs, references and a project’s visual language ahead of the shoot, before shaping its final mood, tone and emotional identity in the grade.

Creative Outpost co-founder and managing director Danny Etherington added, “Colour is much more than the final technical stage of a project. It shapes how a story feels, how a world is understood and what an audience remembers. We have built Creative Outpost around exceptional colour talent, close collaboration and the belief that the best work happens when the right people are involved from the very beginning.”
The London studio itself has been designed with the same care as the work produced inside it. Located behind a private gated courtyard just off Oxford Street, Creative Outpost is spread across five bespoke-designed floors, featuring dark wood and handcrafted detailing built with the confidence and craftsmanship of advertising in its most iconic era. Every detail has been meticulously designed, ensuring the space effortlessly combines style and purpose with its industry leading grading theatres, Dolby Atmos certified audio suites and integrated post facilities fully fitted out.
Created as a warm, highly personal alternative to the conventional post house, the space is designed to encourage creativity, comfort and close collaboration during sessions. Among its most distinctive details is the specially commissioned David Hicks’ Hexagon design carpet, famously featured in the corridors of the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. The reference reflects the studio’s connection to film and its determination to create a space with an identity of its own.

Supporting the team’s creative approach is Creative Outpost’s cloud based remote CO-stream grading platform, designed to make distance invisible. Directors, cinematographers, agencies and producers can join live grading sessions from anywhere in the world, collaborating in real time through ultra low latency image streaming giving creative teams the confidence to make frame accurate decisions and private breakout spaces for creative discussions. It also provides integrated screen sharing that allows directors and cinematographers to reference mood boards, stills, edits and visual references within the same session.
Whether reviewing a mood board in London, refining a final grade from Los Angeles or approving a commercial from Stockholm, creative teams remain fully connected throughout the process, preserving the collaborative experience of being in the room without the need to travel.
