Sony Electronics has announced the SEL814G, the company’s first fisheye zoom G Lens for full-frame Alpha E-mount cameras. The lens will be available in October 2026 at an MSRP of $1,599.99 USD / $1,999.99 CAD. Pre-orders begin September 8, 2026.
The SEL814G covers 8mm to 14mm with a constant f/3.5 aperture. At 8mm it shoots circular fisheye with a 180-degree angle of view; at 14mm it shoots diagonal fisheye across the full frame. The lens weighs approximately 314 grams and measures 63.1mm in maximum diameter and 82.8mm in length. Minimum focusing distance is 0.15m with a maximum magnification of 0.22x at the telephoto end.
The optical design includes ED glass and aspherical elements. The lens supports fast autofocus and Linear Response manual focus with suppressed focus breathing. Controls include a focus mode switch, zoom lock switch, and an aperture ring with switchable click stops. The lens is dust- and moisture-resistant with a fluorine coating on the front element.
